 American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated exclusively to the success of businesses around the Globe. GCP’s Global Marketing team is responsible for attracting, retaining and engaging new and existing customers, with the guiding objective to Serve the Right Customers, the Right Treatment, at the Right Moment, and the Right Margins. The Global Investment Optimization (GIO) team is core to GCP Marketing Organization, with a primary function of developing and driving market, product and channel strategy through management of core planning, ongoing insights and investment optimization. The GIO team manages a $500MM+ Marketing budget that fuels the growth of the GCP organization.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Actively manage the ongoing investments for International Prospect and Global Customer Marketing through Annual Plan, R&O, Unfunded Process
  • Collaborate with business partners to drive strategic transformation through the organization that will help drive faster and better investment decisions
  • Draw key insights from month end performance data and present to leadership team
  • Build relationships with business partners across the organization and effectively communicate deliverables and deadlines
  • Become the subject matter expert in each market acquisition plan and strategic “Big Bets”
  • Lead ad hoc strategic projects to drive Global Marketing growth
  • Actively manage a high performing Analyst to reach their full growth potential

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successfully operating in a highly matrix environment and being able to lead and influence without direct authority
  • Strong consultation, communication, facilitation and presentations skills; Ability to understand complex challenges & linkages and articulate into plans to drive results
  • Experience managing large scale global projects with multiple business partner relationships and stakeholders at various levels
  • Excellent collaboration and influence management skills
  • Detail oriented with the ability to understand and navigate a complex and dynamic business
  • Proven track record in driving results
  • Strong desire to take risks, think big and bold, and challenge the status quo
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, strategic planning or related discipline
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
