American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading provider of payments for corporations of all sizes globally. In GCS, the US Middle Market is the largest and fastest growing segment and a major focal point for the business. The Middle Market Customer Marketing team is focused on deepening relationships with our customers through a personalized treatment fueled by customer behaviors and external data (triggers).
 
This Analyst will support the Senior Manager in the Marketing strategy of a virtual Account Development team to grow spend and engagement of our customers through consultative business-centric dialogue. This role involves lead generation, Account Development (AD) engagement (i.e. contests), and an ability to use data to drive strategies. S/he will closely collaborate with various groups across the business including Account Development, Information Management, and Data Strategy and Insights.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support channel management and customer marketing strategy, including segmentation, targeting, and messaging
  • Execute and evolve monthly campaigns by leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to identify insights and growth opportunities
  • Partner with team members to drive US Acquisition & Client Group engagement
  • Support development of digital tools and capabilities to enhance AD productivity and user experience

 


Qualifications

  • 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Analytical thinker who is interested in evaluating data and making informed recommendations
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and communicate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Self-starter who can operate autonomously and is resilient in a dynamic environment
  • Strong MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Previous experience working with an agency a plus
  • Digital marketing or operations experience a plus

 Educational Requirement:

  •  Bachelor Degree, business or marketing preferred
