Job Description

The Compliance Analyst position will be a key member of the Communication Compliance Review (CCR) organization. The CCR team is part of Enterprise Marketing Platforms & Solutions (EMPS) in Enterprise Digital & Analytics (EDA) and responsible for the compliance review and oversight of U.S. Marketing and Servicing Communications. CCR Analysts review and approve all marketing and servicing material sent by American Express to ensure that they meet regulatory, legal, Brand, and company policy requirements. 
 
Job Responsibilities:
• Handling the creative review and approval process, which is a review process that manages the compliance adherence of marketing materials for U.S Consumer Marketing  and Global Commercial Services (GCS)  communications
• Ensuring all marketing collateral (direct mail, telemarketing scripts, e-mails and internet) adhere to legal, regulatory compliance, voice of the customer and company branding policies
• Providing timely communication to marketing managers regarding marketing materials including accurate and courteous follow-up  to their inquiries
• Facilitating review and discussion, related to marketing communications, with various levels throughout the organization

Qualifications

 •1+ years of experience; compliance, legal, or marketing review function, ideally a banking organization is preferred
• Familiarity with consumer banking regulations (Regulation Z, Regulation E, UDAAP, Fair Lending, etc.) a strong plus 
• Prior experience in review of direct mail, e-mail, digital & telemarketing marketing and/or copywriting a plus 
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (both oral and written) skills are required, as the position requires extensive interaction with a local and geographically dispersed, cross functional teams 
• Must possess strong decision making, analytical and problem solving skills 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a deadline intensive environment 
• Organized individual who displays initiative; self-starter; attention to detail 
• Strong customer, relationship, and change management skills with a proven ability to lead and facilitate change 
• Ability to balance the business objectives of the marketing clients, the industry and regulatory environment
• Must have proven ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to a constantly changing environment 
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 
• Flexibility in taking on additional responsibilities over time as the job requires support of new and innovative processes
