Manager/Senior Manager, Airport Benefit Product Management
The Global Airport Benefits Team is part of the Global Loyalty and Benefits organization, focused on delivering world class, differentiated loyalty experiences and benefits to American Express customers. Serving as a center of excellence to support our Consumer, Commercial, and Lending products across the enterprise, the Airport Benefits team is responsible for the strategy, rollout, and delivery of airport benefits globally. This includes management of The American Express Global Lounge Collection (GLC), which provides Platinum and Centurion Members access to 1,200+ lounges around the world, including our proprietary network of Centurion® Lounges.
The Manager / Senior Manager of Airport Benefit Product Management will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a robust and relevant benefit, with a primary focus on the Centurion Lounge portfolio. This position will oversee E2E lounge customer experience, the GLC P&L, capacity management initiatives, digital strategy and roadmap for the GLC benefit, evolution of the Centurion Lounge product, and other high profile initiatives. Working closely with other members of the Airport Benefits Team, internal stakeholders (Finance, ED&A, GCO, LOBCO, Marketing, Premium Product, others), and external partners will be essential for success in this role.
A strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, clear and effective communication, and an ability to partner with a variety of stakeholders will be essential skills for this role. This individual will lead a wide array of initiatives, so should be comfortable with managing multiple priorities.
Lead day-to-day benefit management and strategic plan for the product, including long term planning for capacity, new experience/amenity development, and digital enhancements
Strategically manage the Global Lounge Collection P&L and optimize cost of Card Member services (COCMS) in-line with lounge network growth
Analyze operational and financial metrics to drive decision-making for go-forward lounge strategy
Support customer experience development for new lounge openings, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition design through launch to daily operations
Partner with Centurion Lounge Operations team on execution of customer experience and digital strategy, including deployment of LoungeBuddy-powered capabilities
Partner with Marketing, GCO, LOBCO, and others to ensure global compliance and regulatory adherence including Centurion lounge policies and procedures
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Analytical and strategic thinker with ability to leverage data to inform decision-making
- Outstanding business acumen, attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to think strategically and creatively to develop and execute solutions that drive meaningful, measurable results
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively prioritize
- Demonstrated project management and partner coordination experience
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and comfort influencing at all levels in an organization
- Ambitious self-starter, with a strong work ethic, intense will-to-win, desire to make an impact, and demonstrated personal excellence
- Passion for travel/hospitality industry a plus
