This position is expected to take a lead, as Head of Function, in shaping and delivering the strategy for the American Express - PAYBACK Italy organization.


This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurially minded individual to operate in very dynamic environment with the full support of the American Express and subsidiary Loyalty Partner organization. Giving rise to the world’s largest Loyalty Management company, this partnership combines the strengths of American Express with the marketing and couponing platform and expertise of Loyalty Partner and the PAYBACK coalition loyalty program – Europe’s and Germany’s largest multichannel marketing platform. PAYBACK has millions active customers collecting bonus points and spending them across a wide range of retail, travel and service industries.


The business model generates more value for customers, card members and merchants, often engaging with them via social and digital platforms.


The Manager will be responsible for the Offline and Online Communication, Product (App, Website) and Digital Acquisition Marketing team, based in Rome, and will take care of digital assets creation, product development in collaboration with the HeadQuarter Global Team point of sales and brand campaigns, media plan definition, execution and monitoring.  This position is a fantastic opportunity to expand marketing skills, with a strong focus on digital, and drive tangible growth.

Specifically, the ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of the brand management and digital advertising (Digital marketing with strong focus on performance) and media planning across all types of campaigns (e.g. awareness, performance, programmatic, search) and has proven understanding of trafficking processes. Key to success will be a solid digital background and experience, with the ability to develop strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders (e.g. creative agencies and media center, global team).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate a team of 6 colleagues.
  • Being Responsible for the development and execution of the Market Marketing Plan with strong focus on: 
    • Develop a structured digital media strategy
    • Define and delivery digital media plan
    • Manage third party agencies with a daily relationship
    • Monitor digital metrics and KPI’s with pre and post-campaign analysis
    • Develop and define POS Campaigns in collaboration with the main Partners.


  • Master’s Degree in Marketing/Economics
  • Good strategic thinking and prioritization
  • Ability to lead, engage and inspire the direct team and other leaders
  • Strong collaborative and influencing skills
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Proven analytical skill and mindset
  • Mother tongue Italian and proficiency in English.
