The Enterprise Digital Application Experience & Platform team brings together several important platforms and experiences.
The team ensure prospects and customers have the best possible experience every single time they interact with American Express and are responsible for:  
  • enterprise digital platforms used across American Express proprietary digital assets,
  • multiple ‘identity’ related experiences (Digital Identity & Access Management, Application Experience & Onboarding products, Point of Sale authentication products and Customer-360)
  • high-leverage lower funnel acquisition experiences (bringing together our front-end application with our next generation back-end new accounts platform).
This role sits within the Card Present Commerce Capability team made up of product owners, functional designers and product managers, who own the American Express Issuer POS experience in all markets, across Consumer, SBS, Corporate.
The team drives adoption, implementation, compliance and usage best practice for EMV Contactless and PIN capabilities to reduce POS friction and drive billings in partnership with Network, Merchant, Global Network Services, Fraud, Analytics, Marketing, and Market teams across the Enterprise.
This is a new Product Analyst/Senior Analyst role, with the responsibility to Product Own the PIN database and enhancements.  The PIN database sits within the larger CAS authorizations platform and stores, manages, and provides PIN data to many services and customers within the organization.
The new Product Analyst will be working with an established Agile team of Engineers to define, track, justify and prioritize the tasks, as well as assist in the management of communication, relationship and relative priorities for numerous other Product sprint trains (MYCA, Mobile App, eApply, IVR).  This is an opportunity for a high performing B30, in a team with a track record for promoting talent from within.
The Candidate will:
  • Execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the PIN database
  • Develop an understanding of the end-to-end card member PIN journey in order to optimize the PIN experience across international markets and business units
  • Assess value, develop use cases and prioritize features and user stories to ensure that work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with the product strategy
  • Work with several partner teams and stakeholders across the Enterprise to create and maintain feature backlog including intake, user story development
  • Craft high quality user stories with robust acceptance criteria
  • Take a leading role in the iteration planning and product release plans, creating clear sprint/increment goal


You should have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Experience in Product Development/Management within SAFe Agile development team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify needs to determine priorities, opportunities, and issues with product/platform
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a can-do attitude – track record of delivery against established goals and roadmaps
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to summarize complex analyses for various audiences
  • An ability to deal with a fast pace and changing needs
  • Understanding of the payments technology landscape and card capabilities, specifically PIN a plus
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree;  Marketing, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or Design or other related field is a plus
