The US FX International Payments (FXIP) business is a fast growing B2B cross border payments business within Global Commercial Services. Today, we facilitate transactions totaling over $10Bn for over 10K customers. Our customers use our platform to manage their global, non-Card payments for goods and services and for inter-company funding across industries such as retail, wholesale, professional services, charities and manufacturing. FXIP is a high growth business with key objectives of enhancing value to Commercial customers while driving revenue and profitability growth. 

 

The Director, US FXIP Account Development (AD) is a critical member of the US FXIP & Merchant Financing Leadership Team and will play a critical role in defining and executing the growth strategy for the US FXIP AD Team. The Director will be responsible for leading 22 individuals across NYC and SLC, and will need to share a clear vision of success in a competitive and dynamic marketplace, while coaching and managing the team to realize the full potential of the portfolio through retention and expansion strategies.

 

The US FXIP AD Team is supported and enabled by other Global FXIP teams including Product Management, Compliance, Risk and Marketing. The Director is expected to create highly collaborative partnerships with these business units at the same time as being the advocate for the business and our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate the AD Team by ensuring clarity and engagement on the FXIP AD strategic vision and key deliverables

  • Provide oversight on a portfolio of existing US FXIP clients; create and deploy appropriate retention and expansion strategies to realize the full potential of the portfolio while delivering the right products to our customers

  • Work with US FXIP Sales Director to ensure a seamless and positive onboarding experience for newly activated clients; create and deploy early engagement and cross-border education strategies so that clients realize the full capabilities of the platform

  • Ensure strict adherence to controls and processes to ensure we conduct business in a compliant manner

  • Manage talent pipeline, diversity, hiring and attracting talent to the AD Team

  • Drive Annual Pulse results & ongoing employee engagement

  • Develop a solid network of internal and external partners

  • Marketplace knowledge and insight 

Qualifications

  • Accomplished people leader with demonstrated ability to manage through change while creating followership and inspiring teams

  • Strong track record demonstrating an exceptional ability to win new business and/or retain and grow existing business relationships

  • Exceptional relationship management skills to influence and work closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional partners

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven success working with Senior Management, and Account Development and/or Sales organizations

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and interpret data

  • Knowledge of foreign exchange/international payments, and GCS products and sales practices is preferred but not required

  • Self-starting individual who is willing to challenge the status quo

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Bachelor’s degree required
