The Global Benefits & Loyalty COE, within the Global Premium Products & Benefits organization, is responsible for setting the enterprise-wide loyalty vision which encompasses premium benefits as well as American Express’s marquee loyalty program – Membership Rewards. We leverage our partnerships, marketing assets and capabilities to create a global, market-leading approach to loyalty.

Reporting to the Global Entertainment Benefits Director, this role will be responsible for managing the Global Entertainment strategy and value proposition across the American Express network in non-US markets. This includes defining entertainment and ticketing program benefits (i.e. pre-sales access, preferred seating, in-venue benefits) across markets and products, and integrating this within the Blue Box brand experiential platform, American Express Experiences. In addition, this role will be responsible for strategy, support, coordination, and tracking of marketing these benefits and access opportunities across owned channels, partnering with market contacts, Brand, and Servicing around the world to activate this content. Lastly, this person will support markets to help define the end-to-end customer journey in both digital and non-digital channels.

This will require very close partnership across American Express with other members of the Global Premium Products & Benefits Team, GABM, Product Team (Consumer, Business and Network), Servicing, Marketing, and Enterprise Digital.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing strategic support for benefit creation and segmentation as well as ongoing access opportunities

  • Understand customer insights, industry trends and competitive landscape to deliver insights around design target and existing customer needs

  • Work closely with Product and Market teams to ensure we can support their product strategy with targeted Entertainment benefits and/or activations.

  • Oversee the deployment and marketing of entertainment partnerships across international markets

  • Partner with local markets and Brand to establish owned, paid and earned communication plans to drive brand and benefit awareness, consideration, engagement and advocacy

  • Support the E2E customer experience with the objective of improving and connecting the CM journey from the discovery of events to the moment they leave the event. This will include:

  • Working with local markets and third party teams to create business cases and prioritisation of tech projects across the Blue Box

  • Enhance existing entertainment benefit sites and enable discovery and purchase in additional Amex digital channels

  • Working with Brand on partner channel enhancements that give CMs a personalised experience in a non-Amex environment

  • Support the creation of a global measurement framework for entertainment benefits

  • Deliver central assets and tools to support best-in-class benefit management in the markets

  • Experience in driving and leading change

  • Proven track record for developing and executing winning strategies

  • Exceptional partner (internal and external) relationship/negotiation/influence skills and a proven ability to drive results through collaboration with Blue Box partners across several markets

  • Strong customer focus and keen eye on external market and competitor trends

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding work environment

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively across a variety of audiences with the ability to influence business decisions at all levels and markets

  • Good analytical, and business management skills and ability to leverage data to drive business decisions

  • Ability to adapt to evolving priorities and work environment – demonstrates flexibility and openness to changing circumstance

  • Flexible to work across multiple time zones and ability to travel, as required

  • Knowledge of the entertainment industry
