Enterprise Digital & Analytics brings together key internal business operations that provide support to all American Express businesses. As part of EDA, the Enterprise Marketing Solutions & Platforms organization is responsible for ensuring the enterprise delivers on the promises we make in our marketing materials. The US Campaign Execution team is comprised of campaign review and setup teams, data validation and governance teams, and control functions to ensure compliance. Together, this organization enables our compliant, impactful marketing in an efficient, cost-effective and expeditious manner.
The Campaign Program Management Team provides critical project management for E2E marketing campaigns with thoughtful strategy and detailed planning. Members of this team are responsible for leading dedicated cross-functional teams of campaign execution experts (aka “Pods”) to drive efficient and timely campaign execution for new products and partnerships or high risk/high visibility marketing initiatives.
The Analyst/Sr. Analyst on this team will be responsible for providing project management support to Pod team leaders. He/she will learn how a marketing campaign goes from being an idea to being live in market. This role will have the opportunity to work with key stakeholders including Product, Product Development, Marketing, Brand, General Counsel’s Office, and a variety of teams within Enterprise Marketing Platforms & Solutions (e.g. Campaign Management Team, Marketing Compliance Review, Offer Governance and Consumer Practices and Global Web Solutions).
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, inquisitive, likes getting into the details of how things work and why, thinks logically but is also comfortable with white space, likes a fast paced environment, is open to learning new things, likes taking on challenges, is not afraid to ask questions or voice their opinion
Key Responsibilities include:
Project management support (e.g.- follow-up on open items, maintain issues logs, create/update/maintain project timelines, meeting preparation, meeting minutes)
Create and maintain Master Calendar of projects
Maintain a consolidated issues log; identify and share best practices
Metrics Tracking, Analysis, and periodic Dashboard Reporting
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
Resilient in coping with conflicting demands, able to prioritize responsibilities/tasks and work under pressure
Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information with discretion
Able to work on tight deadlines when necessary
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel)
Knowledge of American Express campaign execution processes and systems strongly preferred
Understanding of marketing concepts and how they influence the customer experience is preferred
Demonstrated sense of exceptional personal excellence
Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions
