Job Description

American Express Travel Related Services seeks Directors, Engineering to lead software development teams in the delivery of payment solutions within the trusted service manager space.  Plan, manage, and build-out application platforms.  Collaborate with stakeholders on business and technology teams to drive changes required to support payments platforms.  Guide system architects on design decisions and considerations.  Mentor engineer team members.  Contribute to and promote best practices across software engineering teams.


Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible Experience with technical design, delivery, and monitoring of applications in an environment of rapid development, innovation, and continuous improvement.  Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience with delivering industry leading solutions to market; 5 years of experience with providing detailed software design and end-to-end implementation strategy; 5 years of experience with managing technical delivery of regulatory reporting solutions using OFSAA, and OFSAA implementations for liquidity risk, profitability, and custom applications; 5 years of experience with data analytics, data warehousing, data integration and migration, database administration, and ETL; 5 years of experience with enterprise planning and collaboration tools, including Clarity, Confluence, and Rally; 3 years of experience with ERP solutions, including Siebel CRM; 3 years of experience with data modeling to manage project requirements; and 3 years of experience with integration technologies, including APIs, PL/SQL, Oracle databases, and SQL Server.
