American Express Global Commercial Services is the leading payment card issuer for corporations and small businesses with products and services to help them run and grow their business.  The Global Field Enablement team is responsible for partnering across the entire GCS business – including sales and client management leadership, Marketing, Product Development & Operations to accelerate the growth of the GCS business by enabling a best in class B2B customer-facing organization.    

 

The Global Field Enablement team serves as the Center of Excellence for a 4,000+ person field organization, delivering high impact global strategies, content, competencies, and connections that accelerate field productivity and enable the Field Experience of the Future.  This role and team will report directly to the Vice President and General Manager, Global Field Strategy, Tools and Innovation under the broader Global Digital Capabilities Transformation & Operations organization.   


Primary Responsibilities:


The VP of Global Field Enablement will:
  • Partner to bring the new American Express Sales Framework to life through our field teams by building a global reinforcement and adoption strategy

  • Create one integrated experience across all GCS field teams by delivering irresistible and timely content, driving platform innovation and sustainability, and working across key partners in the organization to develop a collaborative internal culture with active feedback loops.

  • Lead dedicated market enablement teams across our key markets in the Americas, EMEA, and JAPA as well as across segments in order to localize global strategies for relevance and need.

  • Provide executive thought leadership on driving growth through field training, communications, and effective go-to-market strategies

  • Partner closely with Marketing colleagues to enable consistent go-to-market experiences for our customers and flawless execution across all channels

  • Define the strategy for innovative sales capabilities that accelerate the sales process and drive efficiency for the field

  • Lead a global high performing and diverse team of 60+ colleagues

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Account Development, or Change Management

  • Outstanding business acumen and strategic perspective

  • Exceptional relationship building experience, including the ability to develop relationships with senior executives and leadership teams across the organization

  • Proven ability to influence others
  • Committed large global team people leader with a track record of developing and inspiring others

  • Strong problem solving and analysis abilities
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills and presentation skills

  • Ability to think creatively, approach sales enablement from new angles, and manage up, down and across the organization

  • Strong financial and analytical background
  • Ability to travel (up to 30%)
  • MBA preferred
