The Market Head for the Netherlands is responsible for developing and executing the Market Colleague Plan (MCP), focused on talent leadership, change leadership and HR effectiveness. The successful individual will be part of the Dutch Country Executive Team and partner closely with the Country Manager and Executive Team.


General Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of two direct reports; to ensure that they are business focused, possess a growth mindset, will to win, and demonstrate strong engagement and commitment.

  • Design and deliver the MCP for the Dutch Market, with a core focus of supporting strategic Company, Business and HR Priorities.

  • Develop strong relationships with business leaders and HR Business Partners to build a deep understanding of global and local business strategies.

  • Play a lead role in partnering with the local Country Executive Team and HR colleagues to activate the Colleague Value Proposition for the market; driving and promoting an inclusive culture.

  • Collaborate with Global Centres of Excellence to ensure that HR products and Services are implemented and adopted appropriately in the Netherlands.

  • Understand external influences and take proactive steps to ensure that the Dutch HR team incorporates external thinking into MCP delivery.

  • Partner with the European Head of Employee and Labor Relations (ELR) to ensure that the local ELR strategy supports business growth and aligns with Global ELR strategy.

  • Ensure total compliance with all local laws, regulations and policies, and any regulatory related requirements

 Talent Leadership:

  • Lead the execution of all people processes including but not limited to Talent Reviews/Sharing, Succession Planning and Diversity InitiativesDevelop and execute the market Talent Strategy with the support of Center of Excellence (COEs) and HR Business Partners (HRBPs)

  • Interpret and present HR data to offer strategic insight into talent performance and measure the results of implemented initiatives

  • Ensure talent excellence by facilitating market talent moves, in partnership with HRBPs

Change Leadership:

  • Own the creation and execution of the MCP and lead a collaborative approach to delivering the change agenda locally

  • Represent the face of HR, and champion the brand both internally and externally in the market

  • Deliver change initiative to support market growth

HR Effectiveness:

  • Ensure that the Market HR team are mission capable - delivering on the organisation’s needs.

Qualifications


To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Proven HR experience in a Generalist focused role (5+ years), with a strong track record in developing/implementing leading-edge and transformational HR initiatives

  • Inspirational people leader, with the ability to engage teams and create followership

  • Ability to think conceptually and strategically, while maintaining a results-driven approach and a focus on delivering measurable outcomes

  • Solid change management experience, able to drive and manage complex/large scale change initiatives sensitively and thoughtfully

  • Ability to lead agilely through change, enabling Market HR teams and the business to effectively navigate ambiguity and drive transformational change

  • In-depth business knowledge and financial acumen

  • Strong relationship competencies, able to collaborate, influence, and manage through conflict to achieve successful outcome

  • Able to operate successfully across the matrix, and at all band levels; with the ability to challenge the status quo

  • Experience in managing complex ELR initiatives (5+ years) including effectively partnering with Works Councils, and an awareness of evolving employment legislation and practice

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to cascade complex messages in a simple form and ensure that colleagues can see how what they do day to day supports the Company’s strategic priorities and direction

  • Languages: Fluent English & Dutch
