Job Description

This Analyst position will be a part of the Amex Ethics Office within the General Counsel’s Organization and play a role in helping employees and the Company live up to the high ethical standards outlined in the Code of Conduct.  This role will be responsible for assisting in the continued expansion of the Ethics Hotline and Ethics Office, particularly in relation to data analytics and reporting, and working with internal and external groups.  This role requires an individual who is a strategic thinker and exhibits great data analytics skills.

Specific accountabilities would include:
  • Work in case management system and help construct an intersection with other case management systems (e.g., Case Track, SWORD, Oracle)

  • Create detailed and multifaceted reporting for Senior Executives

  • Effectively manipulate data to generate valuable data insights

  • Prepare reporting content and cadence (e.g., ensure the key messages to relay to business and functional executives are being presented clearly and concisely)

  • Professionally and discretely handle highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Help in evolving the Amex Ethics Hotline and the Amex Ethics Office

  • Draft policies and procedures and the maintenance of same

  • Help to apply change management techniques to identify gaps and opportunities in a change process


Required skills and background:
  • Process driven with great organizational skills and attention to detail and data

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to proactively identify trends

  • Strong data analytics skills and ability to tailor reporting to each audience

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills; written, oral, and listening skills

  • Basic proficiency at drafting effective presentations and PowerPoint decks

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Experience with Tableau, Microstrategy, and similar report management tools preferred

  • Experience with SQL, database management, and API a plus

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelors preferred
