Job Description

The Global Commercial Services (GCS) Planning & Analytics team is responsible for performing analyses that span the GCS business in support of the President of GCS. The team works closely with GCS business partners and multiple Finance teams to drive insights which have a meaningful impact on GCS business strategy. 

This team has responsibilities that fall into three main areas: financial analysis of support to GCS Strategic Planning and Business Transformation teams, partnering with Decision Science team on predictive analytics for GCS forecasting, and partnering with the DSCOE team supporting Monthly Outlook/Annual Plan/Long Range Plan exercises. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with the VP of GCS Investments, Planning, & Analytics. 

  • Provide financial support to GCS Strategic Planning team including partnering on the development of key performance indicators to measure progress against long term strategic initiatives
  • Partner with Business Transformation (BT) team to identify and validate potential new business transformation initiatives and ensure consistent tracking of program benefits
  • Partner with Decision Science and DSCOE teams to provide qualitative/business insights into results and incorporate trend analysis into Outlook/Plan/LRP
  • Develop presentation materials on analyses/monthly results to be shared in meetings with GCS leadership team
  • Opportunities to lead HQ analyses presenting key performance trends, insights into long-term margin and profitability, and competitive analysis 


  • Self-starter, proactive business person in a finance role including solid business acumen, strategic thinking and broad vision of long term growth of the business
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and through presentations. Ability to break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages 
  • Proven track record of being highly collaborative in managing / navigating matrixed set of stakeholders
  • Strong thought leadership skills including demonstrated ability to generate new ideas and challenge the status quo
  • Ability to work under time pressure and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Willingness to explore new data capabilities for the team
  • SQL/SAS/IDN/Cornerstone experience a plus
  • Experience with company financial systems (TM1, Oracle, etc.) preferred
  • Card issuer experience preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
