Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for a technical DS&I Reporting Manager in the Global Commercial Services (GCS) team. 
This position is responsible for performance reporting and analysis for the GCS business across the Japan, Asia Pacific and Australia (JAPA) region. 

Key accountabilities include:
  • Create deep-dive regional performance reporting and analysis spanning all markets and channels in the region. Expectations include:
    • Development and production of performance reporting
    • Frequent modeling and analysis
    • Provide insights and commentary to key stakeholders
  • Creating & deploying regional Tableau dashboards
  • Driving regional and international initiatives such as reporting standardization. Accountabilities include:
    • Partnering with international counterparts to understand and contribute to cross-regional initiatives
    • Translate initiatives from strategy and theory through to daily business practice
  • Ensuring compliance to American Express Information Security Standards

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification required. MBA or professional qualifications a plus
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills are essential
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality are crucial
  • Required technical skills include:
    • Advanced Base SAS programming and EG knowledge essential
    • Intermediate or better Tableau experience
    • Strong Excel ability
    • Unix experience
  • Capacity to understand the GCP business and reporting at both the ‘big picture’ and detailed levels
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
