As part of the Global Servicing Group (GSG), the Governance & Controls team is primarily focused on safeguarding the Company’s brand and assets.  It is focused on driving adherence to internal policies and meeting regulatory expectations while balancing the execution of key business strategies and Customer First priorities.  Governance & Controls collaborates across key stakeholders to drive the necessary controls and oversight, enabling GSG stakeholders to set the standard for a seamless and differentiated customer experience.   
    
Within the Governance & Controls team, the Business Integrity team leverages internal systems and capabilities to monitor for conduct risk across the GSG business.  Business Integrity plays a key role in establishing controls to promote safe and sound business practices across our global servicing sites and with ensuring adherence with internal policies and American Express’ Blue Box Values.  
 
The Business Analyst, GSG Business Integrity will be responsible for executing the reporting and data management strategy for the Business Integrity program, including reporting on key findings and metrics, establishing controls for inventory management, and forecasting work prioritization, among other things.   
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation and production of reports for senior leaders across GSG
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify business insights and opportunities to enhance business controls
  • Maintain and establish processes and programs to accurately input and store critical data for the Business Integrity program
  • Create and implement controls for data validation and to ensure consistency, security, and accessibility of Business Integrity data
  • Forecast testing volumes and plan capacity in connection with new testing methodologies
  • Collaborate across business lines to gather reporting requirements and respond to requests for information
  • Support the Business Integrity team with projects, inventory management, and other priorities, as needed 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • Prior experience conducting data management and reporting and ability to work under pressure with tight timelines
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proven ability to derive insights when examining large quantities of data
  • Proficient at finding solutions to data management and reporting problems and capable of adapting based on changing business requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent relationship building skills, including ability to work effectively and cooperatively with cross-functional and global teams
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite; programming experience a plus

Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for this position.
