The Marketing Analyst, Global Communications and Engagement sits within the GNS Global Product and Marketing team, which is a part of the Global Network Services (GNS) business. GNS operates in all regions globally to drive scale and relevance for the American Express Brand. The successful candidate will be a high performing communications professional, able to work quickly, think on their feet, and collaborate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders whilst representing the American Express brand.


This exciting new role will focus on ensuring a consistent global view of American Express by supporting and enabling our Network partners to represent American Express in their various markets.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the Director, Global Brand and Communications with delivery of the GNS Communications strategy, including areas such as Social Media, Public Relations, Events, Internal Communications and Brand.

  • Working across the business to source, develop and deliver globally transferable best practice, content and assets that can be deployed across a number of communication channels to build strong presence for the network in local markets.

  • Act as the key support on any GNS Global Partner events, such as developing and maintaining the project tracker, asset development and execution, budget administration, and inputting into regular organisational updates.

  • Work closely with the Central Brand (GABM), Corporate Affairs & Communications (CAC) and the GNS Product & Marketing Central teams to ensure collaboration and alignment on the delivery of specific projects, guidelines, best practice, training materials and asset libraries.

  • Act as a contact for regional & partner queries to support global consistency in brand and communications, including supporting the GABM and CAC teams with oversight, trainings, governance and new initiatives.

  • Flexible to work across multiple time zones and within a dynamic, global team.

  • Communications, Social Media, Events and/or Brand experience

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to manage and see delivery of projects through to an end

  • Strong communicator with the ability to create and deliver persuasive high impact presentations

  • Attention to detail is a must

  • Uses understanding of cultural differences to influence actions and decisions

  • Analytically minded, logical thinker with problem solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders and workflows simultaneously

  • Ability to effectively operate with positive high energy and flexibility in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment

  • Existing experience in Financial Services or the Payment Industry an advantage
