The Merchant Services – U.S. (MS – U.S.) mission is to be essential to our Merchants through meaningful value and experiences that help them succeed.  In support of this mission, the Industry Development (ID) team creates value-add strategies, tools, programs and platforms for the Merchant Services business to acquire new merchants and deepen our relationship with existing merchants.

The Senior Manager of MS – U.S. Strategy will be responsible for providing thought leadership and an external perspective on the most critical strategic initiatives and pressing challenges facing the Merchant Services business in the U.S.  This role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Merchant Services – U.S. and his Leadership Team on diverse and challenging work.  This individual will be able to work on projects with incredible breadth and depth, and will have the opportunity to see the impact of these solutions on the MS – U.S. business.


  • Own project work streams end-to-end from scoping to problem structuring, analysis, and presentation

  • Lead complex analysis and rigorous research to develop insights and solutions to Merchant Services – U.S.’s most critical strategic priorities

  • Engage MS – U.S. leaders, as well as leaders across Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS), to develop and present solutions, and provide thought partnership and strategic counsel

  • Collaborate with and influence talented teammates and stakeholders to deliver significant and sustainable results

  • Participate in various Industry Development committees to build a strong network and team culture


Skills / Qualifications

  • Creative strategic thinker complemented by strong business acumen

  • Strong problem-solving abilities (issue identification, problem structuring, analysis and development of actionable recommendations) and quantitative aptitude; intellectual curiosity

  • Ability to drive change, impact, and be adaptable to a wide range of situations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to collaborate effectively in a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong professional presence; excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience from a top strategy consulting firm or internal consulting team preferred; payments industry experience a plus
