American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated to the success of businesses around the world.  GCS’s US SME team is responsible for all distribution channels to the US Small and Mid Market Business segment, including the Prospect Nurture program.


The Prospect Nurture team generates, captures and nurtures business leads through digital marketing efforts. Will own the lead generation, capture and routing strategy through Amex owned digital channels, driving lead volume growth that results in revenue growth for the company.  He/she will also create a vision and roadmap for capabilities development to support this growth, partnering closely with digital platforms teams to bring these capabilities to life.


The ideal candidate will have marketing communications experience and a passion for driving continuous improvements that deliver both a great customer experience and business results.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategy for generating, capturing and routing digital leads to the appropriate channel for acquisition

  • Build a test and learn strategy to optimize the digital lead capture experience and grow qualified lead volume

  • Partner closely with US SME Digital teams to deeply integrate lead capture strategy within Site, Search and Chat channels

  • Partner closely with teammates who are responsible for Email or Phone-Based Sales treatment of the leads that are captured

  • Identify new channels and opportunities to capture and engage leads

  • Monitor results closely to identify and troubleshoot lead capture or routing obstacles in order to keep the system running smoothly

  • Inspire and lead agencies, technology vendor partners and contractors; help establish priorities and manage day to day projects  

  • Oversee the roadmap for marketing technologies and capabilities that support and enhance the lead capture and routing program

  • Partner closely with platforms teams to envision, prioritize and bring to market new capabilities





  • Data-driven marketer who can glean insights from numbers and apply them to strategy
  • Experience with digital sales and marketing technologies a plus (i.e. Eloqua, Salesforce)
  • Strong passion for B2B communications – experience in lead generation a plus
  • Team player comfortable collaborating and influencing in order to get things done
  • Solid project management and organizational skills for managing several workstreams at once
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years work experience required
