Functional Description :
Global Commercial Services (GCS) continues to be a fast growing business within American Express. Data, Strategy & Insights (DS&I) India team within GCS is instrumental in driving accelerated growth and improved profitability by providing actionable data driven insights and consultative solutions. The open role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the GCS growth story in a dynamic, intellectually stimulating, open, fun and collaborative environment.

Purpose of the Role:
This role will support US SME segment of the GCS business. US SME @ $300B+ of CV is the largest business segment of the GCS business. It I divided into 8 regions with 320+ field sales people working to retain and grow the business. The role is expected to
o Support the US SME field sales people in looking at their signings and ensuring the sales effort is captured adequately for them to earn incentive
o Working with multiple teams to ensure right controls are put in place for the signings to be tracked correctly in salesforce.com
o Working with field sales persons an ensure they have the right and timely visibility to their portfolio for them to reach the right clients and ensure business growth

ROUTINE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Preparing and delivering weekly reporting to Manager Business development (MBDs) and Director Business development (DBDs)
• Quality checking the sales signings submitted by the MBDs for DBDs to take quick decisions
• Developing report providing visibility of the portfolio for MBDs to schedule their week and month efficiently. reducing the non-selling time for field persons
• Work directly with partners to support ongoing initiatives efficiently
• Automate and drive value through structured approach & logical thinking
• Act as a single point of contact between multiple teams and the MBDs

Qualifications

Technical Skills:
• Analytical mindset to drive insights out of data
• Good knowledge of programming languages like Python, SAS or R
• Ability to connect dots between various business lines 
• Ability of connect actions to business results OR P&L Mindset
• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or Statistics from a reputed institute

This job would require supporting the business teams based in US. While the current working hrs are 1.30pm – 9.30pm. Being flexible in working any shift between 7.00am and 11.30pm is a requirement of the Job 

Good to have 
• Technical knowledge of languages like Python, R, Hive etc. 
• Exposure to BI tools including tableau 
• Knowledge of Amex tools and database including Cornerstone, Salesforce.com 

Past Experience:
• 2 years of relevant experience in corporate environment
