The Digital Workplace Technologies team has a global responsibility providing 24x7 service and support for messaging technologies used by nearly 100,000 users.

The Messaging Program Manager reports to the Director of Enterprise Messaging and will lead and deliver global Enterprise Messaging solutions.

  • Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating large strategic programs from initiation through to implementation.

  • Leads cross-functional program teams and works with business partners to determine and interpret business requirements into technology solutions.

  • Responsible for managing program costs, resources, change requests, risk and issues to ensure that maximum business benefit maintained as well as provision of regular program status updates.

  • Vendor engagement and management to include: monthly reporting and auditing, compliance reviews, and partnership with vendor management teams to onboard and update information. Act as the Technical Relationship Manger (TRM) with key vendor partners

  • Responsible for managing one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide IT program(s) consisting of multiple projects, that may span a broad range of systems and enterprise-wide components.

  • Communicates with Delivery Directors, Portfolio Management and Business Partners with regard to program strategy, direction and changes.

  • Facilitates potential development solutions by working with Business Partners and senior level Architects to determine technology solutions that align with business strategies and IT strategic directions.

  • Develops the program strategy and the various enterprise-wide high-level project plans and ensures that scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders.

  • Ensures that the supporting Business Case is updated throughout the course of delivery and works with the business to ensure business case objectives are met.

  • Pro-actively anticipates program/project risks and issues and ensures that appropriate mitigation planning is in place to avoid compromising delivery


  • 8+ years of Experience with enterprise program management with large scale projects

  • 8+ years of Experience with finance management

  • Certification requirement: Project Management Professional (PMI) or equivalent Project Management certification (eg. Certified Project Management Practitioner, International Project Management Association).

  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines and juggle several assignments simultaneously

  • Ability to use business and technical experience to identify impacts or risks and create plans to mitigate them

  • Proof of Concept experience with in-depth testing, analysis, and proposal

  • Experience with agile methodologies – Jira a plus

  • Ability to think outside the box to solve complex problems

  • Able to challenge the status quo and drive creative ideas and solutions; influencing others without direct authority

  • Handles problems and acts on own initiative without being prompted, while knowing when to escalate decisions vs making on-the-spot decisions

  • Possess ability to translate technical issues into understandable business language for end users

  • Adapts to change quickly and easily and thrive in an Agile environment

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving and adaptive communication

  • Recognizes the importance of team work to achieve objectives

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or other related field or has equivalent work experience
