As a member of our International Banking team, you’ll:        

  • Engage directly with local banking markets, primarily India, Mexico, and Canada, on continual improvement initiatives
  • Ensure strong project management of initiatives through the establishment of robust frameworks, planning, and effective use of project management tools
  • Act as the liaison between the local markets and senior leadership
  • Identify risks and support risk mitigation
  • Identify best practice sharing opportunities and drive adoption across markets
  • Provide exceptional thought leadership while working with teammates, stakeholders, and business partners
  • Act as key linkage point within the global network of the company to connect colleagues to support where needed
  • Ensure strong corporate governance of the international banking entities
  • Deliver powerful guidance to stakeholders across the enterprise by leveraging our unique cross-border focus
  • Enhance our existing bank procedures to promote sustainability

 

Qualifications

  • Strong project management experience / certification desired
  • Excellent written and verbal communication        
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Exceptional relationship management skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally; less than 10%
  • Ability to identify opportunities to drive growth
  • Persistence and willingness to pursue leads
  • Demonstrated management skills on complex projects, events and tasks, and ability to manage and drive multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building, presentation and skills
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to groups and individuals
  • Heightened cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years of banking experience in the financial services industry
  • Spanish and/or Hindi language skills are a plus

     Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
