The Enterprise Performance Channel Enablement team within the Enterprise Digital and Analytics organization is responsible for developing our approach to marketing channels from both an internal and external perspective.


The Manager, Performance & Platforms role will be responsible for developing our People Based Marketing (PBM) ad technology stack, driving revenue through Amex’s on-site Merchant Ad Program, and managing external partners on technology, marketing & delivery.

Key Responsibilities will include:

·        Critical role in platform developments with ad & marketing technology stack

·        Provide innovative ideas to support PBM operations

·        Liaise between PBM internal teams, agencies & data providers

·        Develop data and segmentation strategies

·        Bring channel expertise to support off-site marketing efforts

·        Leading on-site Merchant Ad Program campaign management

·        Oversee end-to-end campaign execution process

·        Partner with internal teams in product development and account support

·        Collaborate with technology teams with product development efforts

·        Lead discussions with management on roadmaps, performance, monthly metrics and other ad-hoc requests

·        Manage external sales teams, data partners and agencies

·        Oversee one high performing Analyst


·        Minimum 4 years’ experience covering display channel and/or ad technology

·        Previous marketing operations experience

·        In-depth understanding of broader ad technology ecosystem, covering role of:

o   Data companies

o   Audience management

o   Programmatic buying

o   Ad servers

o   Walled gardens

o   Agency ad-tech stacks

·        Knowledge of Google AdManager

·        Analytical problem solver, detail oriented and ability to work with cross-functional teams

·        Independent self-starter, able to deliver results under minimal supervision

·        Experience working with agencies and technology providers

·        Team-player, collaborative

·        Extremely organized and excellent time management skills
