Purpose of Role:
Validation of assigned portfolios on-balance sheet and off balance sheet exposures against the general ledger/ externally reported results to ensure financial integrity of Basel results
Collaborate with stakeholders for resolution of issues

Function Description:
• Generate variance reports and identify / highlight out of balances
• Research into variances and perform root cause analysis
• Report all data issues timely into RRIL & Collibra for tracking and closure
• Monthly CCID management process to ensure accurate validations
• Contribute to assigned work streams of Regulatory Assurance to support creation of MRA reports, from providing requirements to testing to deployment
• Relationship management with source data providers, GL Controls teams, reporting teams, AET, Financial Accounting Hub, Chart of Accounts teams
• Other responsibilities of Assurance team as assigned from time to time
• This role may be subject to additional background verification checks

Critical Factors to Success:
• Effective preparation, delivery& filing accuracy of legal entities/ segment financial statements & other related reports with Federal Reserve, SEC & other regulators in compliance with US GAAP/ IFRS/ Local Statutory, Board & other regulatory requirements
• Understand & leverage intelligent automation technologies to generate use cases within the team & create opportunities to support the automation team to get that implemented
• Independent handling of queries, escalations and satisfactory close all audit reviews including statutory, internal, tax & other audit reviews
• Lead with a digital mindset and deliver the world's best customer experiences every day
• Demonstrate learning agility, make decisions quickly and with the highest level of integrity


Past Experience:
• 3+ years’ experience in accounting, financial analysis or validations

Academic Background:
• Graduate in Business/ Finance/ Accounting, CPA/ CA a plus

Functional Skills/Capabilities:
• Strong demonstrated knowledge of AXP financial systems
• Strong knowledge of AXP business, balance sheet, general ledger & chart of accounts
• Demonstrated ability to promote and drive change to further improve processes to be more efficient and effective
• Flexibility, ability to prioritize multiple demands and manage in a matrix organization
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Proven collaboration/ relationship skills
• Self-motivated & pro-active

Technical Skills/Capabilities:
• Regulatory Reporting & BASEL II/III concept knowledge and experience a plus but not required
• High Proficiency in MS Excel (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) is a requirement
• SQL knowledge a plus

Knowledge of Platforms:
• Knowledge of sub-ledger & project experience a plus

Shift Timings: Day Shift (Can be either 11:30AM – 7:30PM or 1:30PM – 9:30PM)
