Job Description

The Marketing and Product Team (MPT) for American Express National Bank focuses on enabling American Express to build products and services that are both innovative and compliant.  The senior analyst will support the director team focused on US Global Consumer Services Group (e.g., Consumer Charge, Consumer Lending, Benefits, Enterprise Digital & Analytics, Digital Labs, Travel & Lifestyle Services).  The successful candidate will support reporting activities, new product & approval process, regulatory and general business activities.  

   

Key responsibilities include:        

  • Develop and document Bank process improvements as it relates to new product approval, reporting and team business activities

  • Provide reporting for internal use, Bank management, and Bank regulators

  • Build and maintain professional relationships and partnerships with key business partners across the company

  • Support audit and regulatory activities on an ad-hoc basis

  • Communicate new product risks and status effectively across band levels and business

  • Stay abreast of Regulatory and legislative changes pertaining to banking as well as developments in the payments competitive landscape.


 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Focus on process improvement and quality, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Investigative mindset, research-oriented individual with a large appetite for knowledge and learning.

  • Ability to translate complex information into easily understandable terms and define, analyze, interpret and report meaningful results.

  • A self-starter and pro-active team player with a passion for consistently delivering high quality service and exceeding expectations.

  • Works independently within a team construct while supporting the achievement of the team's goals.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
