American Express Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) serves American Express Card Members around the world with a full range of travel and lifestyle services, from trip planning, booking and enhancing the broader travel experience to creating memorable experiences through exclusive access to our global network of dining, shopping and entertainment partners.

 

The Analyst will be a part of the centralized Global Issue Management and Complaints team within TLS which oversees: Operational Risk Events, Corrective Actions, and the Global Complaints Program on behalf of the business unit. The Analyst will work closely with our key partners in Compliance, Operational Risk, GCO, and the TLS business to meet compliance and regulatory requirements through process evaluation and optimization.

      

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage TLS U.S. Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) ensuring that all milestones are met by designated due dates and all required documentation is submitted and approved by Compliance and the Bank
  • Oversee issue intake process on behalf of TLS, including issue research, alignment of key stakeholders, and documentation within required compliance deadlines
  • Develop and deliver reporting and analysis for various stakeholder groups
  • Identify and drive process changes to enhance controls and efficiencies within the business in support of Compliance policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Provide additional support for the Complaints program as related to Issue Management

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 2 – 3 years of experience in audit, compliance, regulatory, or risk management
  • Demonstrable project management experience with proven ability to drive results
  • Experience with end-to-end process mapping with ability to identify potential business, compliance, and/or process gaps
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and manage performance metrics effectively in order to drive business strategy and report results
  • Proficiency in Excel reporting and PowerPoint creation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and business relationship acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take full ownership over work
