Job Description


Our Market HR Manager operates under the simple premise that people are our most valuable resource. He/She will partner with business leaders to enable Market – wide business success and enhance the employee experience to drive business outcomes.

 

Joining the Italian HR team, there are plenty of opportunities to make your mark on people and life at American Express. Supporting the deployment of the market employee plan you will be focused on four key areas:

Local Talent Planning, One AXP, Employee Engagement & Advocacy, Employee Development.


Here’s just some of what you’ll be doing:

 

Local Talent Planning

  • Lead the execution of all people processes including but not limited to Talent Reviews/Sharing, Succession Planning and Diversity Initiatives.

  • Drive the deployment of  a Market specific talent management strategy resulting in actions, such as targeted development talent moves  with the support of COEs and in strong alignment with Country Executive Members and LOB HRBPs

  • Collect, update and monitor HR  data to offer strategic insight into talent performance solutions and measure the results of all implemented initiatives

  • Acting as a talent broker for local and cross-market talent moves, in partnership with HRBPs to ensure excellence of Talents

  • Support Top Management talent review process to provide input to the HRBPs and COE

  • Partner with the talent Acquisition team to enhance and communicate our Colleague Value Proposition to attract, retain and engage talents

 One AXP:

  •  Ensure American Express values come to life as One AXP through our behaviors and infrastructure in a manner that is consistent with our Brand

  • Act as a guardian of our culture and consult  people leaders and  employees for an effective implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that contribute to the business growth and to a positive employee experience

  • Contribute to the creation and execution of the market colleague plan to lead the change agenda locally

  • Partner with employee relations in supporting business transformation in compliance  with the legal  and labor law requirement

 Employee Development

  • Collaborate with the MHR team to deploy the learning and development agenda to address strategic capabilities needs

  • Partnering with the global COEs to ensure the global strategy is inclusive of Market needs

Global Projects:

  • Lead and/or collaborate with global teams to deploy global/European projects related to HR

Qualifications


Are you up for a challenge?


To be successful in this role you will bring:


  • 7+ years of overall experience with a background in consultancy
  • Degree in Engineering or Economics
  • Experience within a large international corporate, fast paced environment
  • Experience as HR Generalist or HR Business Partner with a good knowledge of HR practices is preferred
  • Ability to build effective relationships and provide consultancy and advice to senior business stakeholders to add value and enhance services
  • Proven relationship and consultancy skills at business leader level
  • Business Acumen and ability influence in a matrix organization
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure constant project monitoring
  • Outcome oriented approach
  • Effective communicator at all level both written and verbal
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Proven relationship and consultancy skills at business leader level
  • Customer orientation and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English and in Italian
  • Excellent knowledge of Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
