The Senior Analyst, Professional Practices is responsible for support and management of IAG’s issue management and reporting processes, and other key Professional Practices processes and initiatives.
Produce monthly and quarterly metric reporting for ongoing audit activities and key performance indicators, including Internal Audit finding tracking and aging.
Support IAG’s audit report automation initiative, including design, development, and user acceptance testing of automated reports.
Perform quality reviews and validation of data for all audit findings to ensure data integrity within the audit system and report output, as well as in creating and implementing processes to manage and control data quality used for reporting.
Support the monthly regulatory and audit theme analysis process.
Manage monthly finding tracking and communications activities to help ensure corrective action due dates are met by both auditors /business units.
Produce audit finding data for client reporting packages for senior leadership across all AMEX business units.
Assist with ad hoc finding requests.
Produce supporting information for reports to Audit Committees, and to support the AXP Control& Compliance Rating and Chief Audit Executive Letter/roll-up processes.
Perform quality checks of the audit committee reports and presentations.
Manage and facilitate other key Professional Practices processes, including audit report distribution and audit report quality reviews.
Perform special projects in support of various Professional Practices and departmental initiatives.
- 2-3+ years internal or external audit experience.
College Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional certification (CPA, CIA, or equivalent) preferred.
Strong understanding of technology and/or automated auditing systems/tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Very strong organizational and project management skills.
Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently in a team construct, while supporting teamwork and achievement of team objectives.
