Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) is the recruiting engine of American Express, connecting world-class talent to meaningful work and experiences. As Recruitment Manager, you will be responsible for leading a recruitment team and overseeing all recruitment delivery in France. You will be responsible for working directly with HR colleagues and business leaders to understand business priorities, hiring volumes, sourcing strategies and the implications for talent acquisition. This position will use your previous experience in leadership and recruiting to directly manage a professional recruitment team and motivate them to drive results to the next level. Being close to the marketplace through benchmarking and networking, you will analyze both recruitment and business trends to provide expert solutions to finding top talent. Your insight will allow you to make recommendations on recruitment processes, building talent pipelines, driving differentiated recruitment approaches for key talent segments and sourcing prospects that result in finding top talent for the organisation. You will build strong partnerships with business leaders to provide a proactive approach to talent acquisition in key areas of our business by driving top diverse talent into hires.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the French GTA team to ensure successful recruitment results
Act as a talent strategist and advisor for the business
Build and drive recruitment marketing and employer brand strategies
Be a brand ambassador, both internally and externally, by creating strategies that incorporate the American Express recruitment brand together with Recruitment Marketing and other partners
Demonstrate strong business acumen and enterprise thinking, creating recruitment strategies to fuel business growth, top talent segments and critical initiatives
Partner with HR colleagues and senior leaders within the business to forecast hiring needs
Communicate recruitment policy changes, and drive system adoption and utilization with the business and GTA team
Own and drive improvement to recruitment and onboarding processes
Drive corporate initiatives for GTA & Human Resources including supporting the global recruitment transformation at American Express
Build relationships with proactive communication and act as a point of escalation for recruiting questions and activities
Consult with HR and business partners to identify solutions and ensure compliance with global and local policy and process
Analyze team performance to identify trends (i.e recruitment performance data, survey results, results of strategies, etc.)
Support recruitment activities in EMEA markets outside France if required

Offer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
7+ years of recruitment leadership experience within a global organization and previous direct recruiting experience is preferred
Strong business English, both written and oral
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Demonstrated track record of success in developing and implementing successful and creative recruitment strategies based on deep knowledge of the French marketplace
Working knowledge of complex ATS (e.g., Taleo)
Knowledge of compliance requirements related to recruitment and diversity desirable
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring leaders and a desire for strong customer service
Highly articulate, assured and inquisitive verbal and written communicator, able to deliver presentations with conviction and passion
Demonstrated competence in thinking strategically, methodically, conceptually and innovatively
Willing to be hands-on throughout daily activities
