Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) is the recruiting engine of American Express, connecting world-class talent to meaningful work and experiences. As a Recruiter you will manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle and the successful fulfilment of open positions with hiring leaders. You will act as the first point of contact for the business’ hiring needs. Being close to the marketplace through benchmarking and networking, you will demonstrate knowledge of latest trends, sharing these with key business and HR stakeholders.You will source top talent for American Express through innovative sourcing strategies based on insight into the marketplace. Reporting into the Recruitment Manager, you will assist in driving best practice across the recruitment lifecycle.  

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Build relationships with business stakeholders and hiring leaders

  • Demonstrate business acumen and understanding of American Express lines of business

  • Communicate trends, market intelligence insights and provide proactive recruitment guidance to drive future recruitment activity

  • Become point of contact for stakeholders on any recruitment and sourcing queries that arise

  • Be a subject matter expert in recruitment at American Express with clear understanding of the global recruitment process and policy

  • Carry out end-to-end recruitment activities engaging with hiring leaders and candidates, with a focus on direct sourcing

  • Manage requisitions through accurate documentation of all recruitment related data and information as per legislation and global processes

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in the recruitment process

  • As directed by Recruitment Manager assist with or lead development and delivery of ad-hoc or recruitment projects and initiatives

  • Provide professional advice according to recruitment best practice, as part of the recruitment process or when dealing with candidate enquiries

  • Communicate proactively and in a timely manner with hiring leaders and candidates

  • Support candidates through the process including giving details of the business, selection process and hiring leader feedback

  • Support in interview scheduling with candidates and hiring leaders as required

  • Ensure accurate and up to date information is recorded and candidate has been moved through appropriate workflow activity stages in the ATS

  • Manage candidate applications and employee referrals, ensuring all applications are acknowledged and actioned accordingly

  • Use specialist market/industry knowledge to assist with development and ongoing management of pre-qualified candidate talent pools using CRM

  • Support recruitment activities in EMEA markets outside France as required

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in end to end recruitment delivery

  • Business English, both written and oral

  • Experience in extensive direct sourcing (headhunting, developing talent pools, engaging with passive talent)

  • Previous experience managing multiple stakeholders and managing expectations accordingly

  • Worked in an environment that emphasized compliance and regulations, and is comfortable with the additional administration required

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with hiring leaders and candidates

  • Prior experience in using an ATS (e.g. Taleo) is preferred

  • Proven ability to manage roles concurrently and able to perform under tight deadlines

  • Enjoy finding and engaging with talent

  • Be proficient on LinkedIn and other relevant proactive sourcing channels

  • Have a passion for service
