Team Description:

 

As one of the enterprise teams within American Express, Enterprise Digital & Analytics (EDA) works closely with colleagues across the entire company to drive growth and further differentiate Amex in a competitive marketplace by accelerating our digital products and services. Within EDA, the Enterprise Digital Membership Experiences (EDME) team focuses the core customer experiences, including Web, Native App, SMS, Email and Push. The team develops and scales across the enterprise high-impact, mobile-centric and personalized digital experiences across the customer lifecycle and adapts to the evolving needs of our Card Members, merchants and other partners.

 

Within EDME, Membership Experiences Web team is responsible for building best-in-class customer experiences for some of the most engaging journeys at American Express, globally. The team builds and scales products with the latest technology using a core framework, leveraging both opensource and proprietary software. The team also leverages data and research to make decisions and drive towards the core vision. Within the Membership Experiences Web Team, the ‘MYCA’ (Manage Your Customer Account) team is focused on the Account Management aspect of the customer experience, which spreads across Payments & Lending, Account Services, Account Activity and Transactions and Account Summary/Hub. 

 

Role Description:


The team is looking for a Product Manager to lead the development and strategy for Web Payments, which is a preeminent experience with millions of active users. Web Payments is the user journey with most traffic and has among the highest contribution to customer satisfaction. The Product Manager will work closely with other product owners, designers, developers analytics and experimentation teams to drive the strategy and vision for the future state for Web Payments based on specific MYCA personas and customer needs. This person will leverage tools from our latest technology platform to further enhance the membership experience for our customers.   • Define your product vision and your roadmap by working with customers, key stakeholders, and partners
  • Translate product roadmap into well-defined product requirements/user stories and acceptance test criteria 
  • Embody design-thinking in your practice, including empathy and journey mapping, and UX research
  • Leverage data and analytics (qualitative + quantitative) to drive informed decisions, experimentation and product strategy.
  • Understand and apply new trends and competitive best practices into product roadmap and requirements.
  • Support development of appropriate tracking and reporting to determine product performance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in Product Management/Development
  • Technical expertise and aptitude to communicate and collaborate with tech teams and designers
  • Proven track record with consumer-facing product(s)
  • Experience with rapid and iterative software development methodologies
  • Highly analytical, strong knowledge of reporting/analytical applications, i.e. Adobe, SQL
  • Impeccable communication skills, both on and offline
  • Innate resilience, optimism and curiosity.
