Job description

The Global Benefits & Loyalty COE, within the Global Premium Products & Benefits organization, is responsible for setting the enterprise-wide loyalty vision which encompasses premium benefits as well as American Express’s marquee loyalty program – Membership Rewards. We leverage our partnerships, marketing assets and capabilities to create a global, market-leading approach to loyalty against our Card Member passion areas.

The American Express Global Dining Team, inclusive of Resy and Pocket Concierge, is responsible for reimagining hospitality and redefining the way restaurants and diners connect through a single network. This includes defining and delivering a differentiated consumer and restaurant-led approach to dining benefits around the world and evolving this strategy to maintain a leadership position for American Express.
As the Japan Dining Ambassador Team, this position provides Amex members with a hospitality experience by taking action to increase the value of the chef and strengthening the relationship with the chef. A member of an important team to develop and operate differentiated dining products.
The main objective of this position is to support and develop the Japan Ambassador team at American Express Global Dining, with a focus on developing and operating differentiated dining products.
This role is responsible for executing and supporting team members in expanding the network with restaurant chefs and strengthening the relationship with chefs.
This position requires partnerships with the Global Dining team, the local American Express Japan team, the Ambassador team, and external partners to implement the Ambassador team's strategy.

- Development and management of dining products

- Building planning skills to develop differentiated dining products and a relationship with the chef to implement them.

- Manage local vendors and suppliers to perform operations.

- Develop and validate strategy as an ambassador team

- Plan and operate events.

- Support the leader of the ambassador team

- Assess the risks to achieve the objectives and escalate them to the leader of the ambassador team.

  • At least 3 years of marketing experience (both online and offline)
  • Event planning and execution experience 
  • Vendor management experience
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Creative planning skills
  • More than a year of experience working with international teams. Passion and background in dining and hospitality preferred
  • Creating proposals in Japanese and English
  • At least 3 years of business strategy and operations experience, with a focus on analytics and improving efficiency and operational performance
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously
