Manager, B2B Acquisition & Engagement Customer Marketing


Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in providing payments solutions for Small, Medium and Large businesses.  We are in the business of helping our clients get business done!   This role is part of US SME Marketing on the Middle Market Marketing team.  The US Middle Market represents the largest opportunity in GCS and is a key area of strategic focus and investment. 


The Manager will be responsible for deepening customer engagement through strategic initiatives aimed at Small Business customers.  The Manager will be responsible for leading workstreams that support organizational priorities and encourage existing customers to increase spend and engagement with Amex.  This person will deploy creative, customer-centric marketing campaigns across digital channels such as Email and  The Manager will influence and collaborate with capabilities and tech teams to enhance our marketing capabilities, targeting, and segmentation.  This person will work closely with analytics partners to develop robust tracking and reporting and utilize insights to inform our marketing strategies.



Specific responsibilities include:


  • Build, maintain, and evolve a holistic strategy to engage with a new customer base within the Middle Market- Small Business Account Managers

  • Refine and expand sell strategy to drive enrollments in the Account Manager feature

  • Partner with GCS Card Product Management, channel owners and Enterprise Digital on key engagement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Capabilities and Tech teams to build new solutions to effectively deliver targeted treatments through digital channels

  • Develop stand alone and trigger-based email marketing campaigns to drive engagement and response.  Test innovative tactics such as personalization, incentives, content, etc.

  • Work with Analytics to understand channel results, drivers, and initiatives to deliver better results and efficiency

  • Partner closely with partner Marketing teams to ensure consistent communications and strategies across channel

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years marketing, digital, and/or product experience
