The Global Commercial Services (GCS) Operational Excellence Team is responsible for enabling growth through implementation of an effective framework that drives efficiency, accountability and a strong control environment. Through a collaborative partnership with Global Risk & Compliance, Product Management, Marketing, Global Banking, and Technologies, the Operational Excellence team drives a robust first line of defense for GCS and advises our partners on how to effectively balance business growth objectives with appropriate controls. This framework consists of several core components, grouped into pillars, including governance, risk assessment, business and environment internal control factors, and reporting and monitoring.
This position will be part of the Operational Excellence team and will be responsible for the design, implementation and assessment of operational risks consistent with our company’s risk appetite. Responsibilities include: - Developing and managing Process Risk Self Assessment Universe including:
Support the execution of the PRSA Plan Assist Process Owner Teams (Process Owner Delegate, Control Owners & Testers) in completing PRSA documentation including:
· Scoping Checklists
· Process Maps
· Risk Assessment Questionnaires
· Developing and designing controls
· Testing of adherence to compliance regulations
· Risk Control Matrix
Ensure timely completion of quarterly control testing and assertions, PRSA, refresh activities as well as new PRSA development
Address QA action items provided by ORG Partner with compliance organization in addressing compliance risk assessment (CRA) action items, independent compliance testing (ICT) action items
Collaborate with wide variety of internal customers and partners, including Operational Risk Governance Group, Global Records Management, SOX Spreadsheet Management Program, Third-Party Management, Internal Audit Group, Compliance, Privacy, Information Security, GCS’s New Product Approval group and
- 3-5 years of Operational Risk experience in Big 4 consulting firms, banks or Six Sigma
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work with competing priorities
- Strong oral and written communication skills including presenting to leadership
- Ability to collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders
- Strong with MS Excel and Power point. Experience with Microsoft Visio (Process Mapping) will be an advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business (MBA a plus)
