The incumbent, will be responsible for leading the newly formed B2B team in North India focused on driving new business from new clients.
The incumbent will bring substantial, multi-year experience in acquisition for B2B and financial services, excellent leadership and communication skills, and strong experience in relationship management in a complex matrix environment.
Success in this role is measured by achieving team level sales targets and by demonstrating strong sales leadership, consulting/analytical and B2B thought leadership skills.
Develop and own sales plans, implementation, performance tracking and sales process optimization to exceed annual sales targets set for B2B Middle market acquisition team in North.
Own end to end acquisition journey from prospecting and lead generation through pipeline management to account signups and BCV ramp up.
Drive a highly engaged and experienced team of B2B sales specialist managers by providing strong sales, people and B2B thought leadership. Develop talent to win in the marketplace by creating sales culture that encourages

• Understanding of B2B payment & commercial expense management solutions
• Market & competitive intelligence
Establish and lead strong business relationships with internal (Risk, Credits, Implementation, Product, Finance, GCO, etc.) and external stakeholders in the B2B and payments industry (Merchants, Intermediaries etc.).
Create extensive engagement with other areas at American Express, particularly GMS, GBT, CMO, WS etc.
Experience & Qualification
At least 8+ years of professional B2B sales experience in the B2B Commercial payments with an in-depth understanding of acquisition channels, card economics, and expense management solutions.
In-depth and extensive understanding of financial statements (Balance sheet, P&L, Cash flows), corporate banking instruments, technical know-how of corporate expense & payable systems, treasury management, commercial cards & payments industry in India.
Drive to establish a strong team spirit and teamwork across the channel, proactively managing ambiguity
Outstanding communication, networking and influencing skills. Proven ability to forge strong relationships in a complex matrix organization with stakeholders across internal teams and external partners.
Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment, delivering flawless execution, with enthusiasm
College graduate or equivalent combination of education & relevant business experience. MBA preferred.
