We currently have positions available supporting Global Commercial Credit in our Corporate Client Credit department. The role provides expert level service to major corporations regarding Corporate Card programs, resulting in flawless delivery of World Class customer Service.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Handle high volume inbound/outbound calls on past due accounts
  • Customer focus to maintain relationships while mitigating loss to the company
  • Ability to probe and truly understand reasons for delinquency to offer solutions that support the client and American Express
  • Negotiate, collect and resolve delinquent accounts
  • Decrease risk to American Express through account analysis, profitability evaluation, and important credit decisioning, including new account setup, and billing and accurate payment reconciliation
  • Serve as liaison between Field Sales and the client to resolve issues at first point of contact
Must be flexible to work any shift during core hours of operation (Monday through Friday 4:55am-5pm).
Please note: hours will adjust for Daylight Savings to 5:55am to 6pm



  • Highly consultative self-starter with a minimum 2 years of current collection or sales experience
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to assess credit worthiness
  • Basic accounting skills required (basic understanding of debits and credits)
  • Proven relationship, negotiation and problem-solving skills with internal and external clients and with team members
  • Resolve complex issues in an ambiguous environment
  • Influence without authority and strong follow through
  • A strong will-to-win and the ability to thrive in an incentive and goal oriented environment, superior communication skills, in both positive and negative situations
  • Work independently in a structured environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to analyze and assess needs of clients
  • Proficient PC skills including experience with MS Office products and Internet navigation
  • Applicant must have SDL endorsement

Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
