Functional Description:
Senior Financial Analysis Manager will play a key role in Financial Reporting & Analysis, Planning and forecasting activities and assist in finance support to the business decision making process for the International Consumer Services (ICS) Business in India. The successful candidate will actively engage in analyzing business performance and support decisions to grow market share and enhance profit margin.

Purpose of the Role:
Senior Financial Analysis Manager will play a key role in Financial Reporting & Analysis, Planning and forecasting activities and assist in finance support to the business decision making process for the International Consumer Services (ICS) Business in India. The successful candidate will actively engage in analyzing business performance and support decisions to grow market share and enhance profit margin.

Responsibilities:
• Some of the key responsibilities include end to end understanding and playing an oversight and governance role on two key expense lines - CoCM (Cost of Card Member services) and M&BD expenses.
• This includes Invoice approvals, CocM and M&BD -reporting and working together closely with Centralized TRM team for validating cost savings initiatives
• Preparation and analysis of key performance indicators and monthly dashboards
• Drive the variance analysis of financials and key indicators and ensure major variances are researched and accounted for prior to monthly senior management business unit reviews
• Support the budgeting process to set goals for medium to long range.
• Support Product level P&L and profitability analysis, portfolio margin analysis for ICS India
• Work regularly with Finance HQ team based in London for results update and forecast submissions
• Review and verification of annual incentive plans
• Responsible for expensing tracking and provide insights for Opex control.
• Review of Legal entity results, ICAAP forecast and preparation of decks for board meetings.

Critical Factors to Success:
• This role requires eye for detail, resilience, very high level of flexibility and adaptability ability to solve unstructured problems.
• The incumbent must have ability to handle ambiguity
• The incumbent must have problem solving attitude







 


 

Qualifications

 Qualifications:
• CA/ MBA (Finance) with 3-5 years of experience
• Post Graduate in Finance with experience with 4-6 years of experience
• The incumbent should be a Chartered Accountant/ Regular MBA from premier institute with minimum 2-3 years of post-qualification experience
• Should have problem solving, planning and analytical skills to facilitate and focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact independently with senior business partners / customers etc.
• Planning and/or analysis experience will be a distinct advantage
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Functional Skills/Capabilities:
• Strong understanding of card business economics, P&L, regulatory requirements etc.
• Solid ability to adopt a broad perspective and link business strategies to specific initiatives.
• Preferred:
• Possess a strong grasp of the competitive landscape and market trends. Ability to work with ambiguity

Technical Skills/Capabilities:
• Strong aptitude for analytics. Demonstrated ability to develop sophisticated financial models and draw value-add insights from large amounts of financial data. Preferred: Understanding of business products and working knowledge statistical modeling & data science

Knowledge of Platforms:
• Advanced MS office suits such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Preferred: Ability to use platforms & tools such as TM1, Oracle, OBIEE, Cornerstone (Big Data), Essbase, SQL, Tableau, Cognos BI, Sillenium, IBM Watson
