Function Description:

 

Java / J2EE professional with a preferred background in cryptography

 

 

Purpose of the Role:

 

 

To work in the CAS (Credit Authorization System) - CSIP (Cryptographic Services and Innovation for Payments) department as a Java Engineer.  

Responsibilities:

 

Design, Development and Implementation of Java applications within the Cryptographic domain

 

Interfacing of Java applications with Legacy mainframe applications written in IBM TPF and/or zOS operating systems

 

Application Development, Maintenance as well as ad-hoc production support

Minimum Qualifications


Critical Factors to Success:


Hands on Java coding experience (minimum Java 8)


Works well in an Agile - Scrum / SAFe team environment

   

Past Experience:

 

Minimum 5+ years experience of designing and development in Java / J2EE platform

  

Experience in Payment Security / Cryptography will be a big bonus


Experience working in Agile - Scrum / SAFe teams


Academic Background:


UG or PG degree in Computer Science

 


Functional Skills/Capabilities:

 


Knowledge of Cryptography / Cryptographic standards & algorithms strongly desirable.


Good understating of cryptography principle (like Symmetric/Asymmetric Cryptography, Hashing/MD5, RSA and so on) and secured coding practices using the JCA, TLS.


Knowledge of card payments industry desirable.


Certification – CISSP and/or CISM would be a huge plus.


Technical Skills/Capabilities:


Software development & design experience for High Availability & Low Latency application.


Designing & Implementing complex applications using Reactive/Parallel Programming, Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Vertx, REST, JSON, Microservice Architecture, Cucumber, JUnit, Mocking, Logging Frameworks, IBM MQ, Oracle DB SQL, & Couchbase DB.


Hands-on experience with application design, software development, code reviews, performance, availability and performance tuning in a distributed (multi-tiered) systems.

 

Knowledge of Platforms:

  

Understanding of Cloud Native Principle and technique such as Docker, Unix, OpenShift, Kubernatis and other service discovery tools.


Desirable to have experience with performance and monitoring tools e.g. Splunk, ELK and App Dynamics/Dynatrace.


Application server deployment and configuration experience on Linux platform and Red Hat JBoss.


            Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline experience of Bitbucket, Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and so on.
