The GCS UK Sales Team is an established and highly successful part of the UK Commercial Card growth strategy. The sales support function is essential in maintaining the quality and compliance aspect of the sales team, in addition to supporting the sales teams and leadership in a number of other key tasks on a daily basis. As a successful and expanding sales team the sales support function is crucial in helping the team meet such high demands and targets in this fast paced environment.

 

The successful candidate will be joining an energetic and enthusiastic team of 5, where no one day will be the same. This position is varied, offering insight into multiple sales support work streams and processes as well as working with a wide range of different stakeholders within American Express. This role will require you to work with different levels of the organisation, therefore the successful candidate will need to have the ability to communicate in a clear, succinct and confident manner.

 

This position is ideal for anyone looking to further develop their skills in addition to taking on more responsibility. This role provides the opportunity to get exposure and experience at a higher level within the business and could assist with developing into a more senior position within 12-18 months.

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the RBST (Regulatory Business Self Testing) activities for the Global Commercial Services UK Sales organisation. This involves working with the monitoring team to track and monitor errors, providing feedback to the Sales Leaders, delivering training to the sales teams and assisting your line manager with reporting. (60% of Role)

  • Coordinate monthly BST (Business Self Testing) checks that are required to ensure the Sales team’s adherence to processes and procedures. (20% of role)

  • Cover in absence the key Sales Support tasks including coordinating the MR processes, Distributing Lead Data in SalesForce and Managing the team inbox (10% role)

  • Ad hoc work to assist senior team members with sales support activities and projects such as creating decks & word documents. (10% of role)

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of our business card products preferred

  • Experience in control and monitoring environment desirable, but not essential

  • Confident working with multiple levels in the organisation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Salesforce experience desirable, though not essential

  • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently to meet deadlines and manage your own tasks and priorities with little guidance

  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment
