Job Description

The HR- Global Regulatory Learning team within Global Talent Management at American Express is focused on providing exemplary enterprise learning design, delivery, and oversight support for Global Regulatory/Compliance learning programs. The position will be responsible for program project management and turning data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Working closely with the business to develop a sustainable enterprise reporting strategy in which we deliver to global key stakeholders, including but not limited to: Compliance, Audit, Risk, and external bank regulators, such as the Office of Comptroller (OCC) and the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB).   

The position will require candidate to successfully manage and interpret large amounts of complex data analytics to translate into monthly program dashboards, analyze and review trends for program enhancements, and support internal and external audits/exams. He or she must be a self-starter and function exceptionally as an individual contributor and in a team virtual environment, take accountability for their work, and successfully adapt to an ever changing environment. This position will report to the Director of Global Regulatory Learning. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 


  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources to build and maintain monthly program dashboards and maintain databases/data systems

  • Build and maintain program reporting dashboards within Learning Management System

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

  • Provide data analytics to support global regulatory audits/exams

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems

  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

  • Support overall program project management initiatives



  • Experience with processes and capabilities associated with data analytics and successfully interpreting large amounts of data
  • Strong Project management experience in delivering and tracking on multiple complex projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Preferred Additional
  • Minimum of 1 year experience with smart data analytics tools, preferably Tableau and/or Oracle

  • Minimum of 1 year experience with a Learning Management System (LMS), preferably Cornerstone

  • Well versed with Microsoft Outlook, Office, particularly advanced Excel and Access experience

  • Contributes effectively to team projects and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Work well on virtual team environment
