Function Description:
TLS Analytics team has grown significantly in the last few years. It provides significant analytical and reporting support to T&LS stakeholders in US and 22 international markets. The TLS Analytics team leads analytical endeavors that supports business strategic priorities by leveraging advanced analytics and decision science. It utilizes an array of tools and ever-evolving technology to understand CM spending behavior, Business profitability and removing disruptions to customer experience. These analytics are used for key business decisions made across the customer life cycle to accelerate profitable business growth.

Purpose of the Role:
The candidate will be part of Data Base and Automation Team within GOA Analytics. The Incumbent will need to enable a strong data base model to equip the Analytics teams and TLS leaders with a robust and structured data model to help drive business insights and informed strategic business decision support.

• Create Data Products and develop state of the art Data Capabilities leveraging the power of the closed loop network
• Enable the transition for the Analytics Team from multiple data sources to a structured single source Big-Data environment.
• Provide data base solutions and data support leveraging Big-Data to drive automation and self-servicing – Create ODL’s to provide structured solutions
• Identify & re-create the customer lifecycle with the TLS business – i.e. from varied contact channels to voice of customer feedback
• Develop advanced understanding of data sources and use-case scenarios
• Partner and collaborate with the capabilities team and other stakeholders and colleagues to implement models & develop capabilities that will help in more agile data framework

Past Experience:
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience working in a Big-Data environment
• Data Base Management – Transition to a Big Data environment
• Query Optimization, Automation through ODL’s
• Experience in the Travel Industry would be preferred
Academic Background:
• Graduate/Post Graduate in Engineering / Management / Computer Application

Technical Skills/Capabilities:
• Strong experience in Hadoop / Hive framework
• Knowledge of SAS / Python would be an added advantage
• Extensive Exposure to Analytical tools MS Excel, VBA, MS Access, MS PowerPoint

Knowledge of Platforms:
• Hadoop, Hive, Python, SAS, SQL; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• Big-Data / Cornerstone experience
