Function Description:
Help to define an optimal operating model and establish and nurture relevant partnerships to bring vision to life
Engage with Amex Technologies to identify potential partnerships and to learn best practices

Purpose of the Role:
Lead the transformation of International Lending’s analytics and reporting capabilities by developing new analytic and reporting tools and automating data processes

Ensure the succesful migration of all legacy reporting processes and tools from IDN to Cornerstone
Develop a roadmap for new reporting capabilities and tools to support Global Consumer Lending growth initiatives and key business partners in the lending community
Develop code for ETL and automation, create Tableau dashboards
Identify new applications and partnerships to expand data-driven decision making in consumer lending
Lead and train junior employees in technical job functions and in business content knowledge

Critical Factors to Success:
Interest and passion for developing reporting capabilities and analytic tools with a sharp eye toward end user experience
Ability to proactively identify the best solutions from multiple potential technologies and operating models
Ability to nurture relationships with key stakeholders and partners from across the Blue Box


Past Experience:
Previous experience and exposure to Amex data sources, platforms, and capabilities such as Cornerstone, Jethro, Event Engine, and CS Scoring Platform
Previous experience with Hive, Python, Tableau, and reporting automation

Academic Background:

Bachelors degree, preferably in Statistics, Math, Engineering or Computer Science

Functional Skills/Capabilities:

Knowledge of consumer card lending financial metrics and P&L
Understanding of core facets of AXP consumer business - acquistions, customer management/loyalty, marketing, pricing, risk management

Technical Skills/Capabilities:
Programming experience in one or more of Hive, Python, R, SAS, and SQL
Shell scripting and automation

Knowledge of Platforms:
Cornerstone, CS Scoring platform, IDN, Event Engine, Jethro, Tableau Server
