Enterprise Digital & Analytics (EDA) is an enterprise-wide center of excellence designed to support American Express’ strategic priorities through enhanced digital experiences and analytics for card members and merchants alike. EDA ensures that the company’s digital and data & analytics priorities evolve in close concert with business needs. Our charter is to drive scale and accelerate innovation for both immediate impact as well as the long-term transformation of our business. This Analyst / Senior Analyst position will support Commercial Product Analytics, within Global Commercial & Merchant Analytics, in creating analytical solutions that inform commercial priorities.


The Analyst / Senior Analyst will collaborate with key strategic partners across decision science, capability and marketing, and work with functional analytics groups to drive solutions for key business priorities in direct mail channel. The incumbent will be responsible for end-to-end analytical solutions delivery and execution under guidance of the functional director. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of organizational skills, a results-driven approach, hands-on analytics experience, and a curiosity to learn from and to improve decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong and proven analytical background with hands-on experience with ML / AI techniques
  • Solid communication skills with an ability to visualize and report insights in a variety of formats to various stakeholders
  • Project management skills and relationship management skills
  • Hands-on analytics experience and understanding of data processing, with ability to solve performance issues
  • Fluency with advanced analytical tools (e.g. Python, PySpark, Hive, etc.)
  • Experience in the Big Data environment 
  • Degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Applied Mathematics) preferred
