American Express Travel Related Services seeks Directors, Pricing to create and execute pricing strategies for new business, as well as expand existing relationships, partnering with Client Management and Merchant Acquisition organizations. Provide strategic and analytical support for pricing decisions, merchant growth strategies, and negotiation strategies. Create reporting and analytics strategies to inform decision makers, monitoring competitive trends as needed. Collaborate with internal partners across Pricing, Business Development, Finance, and Global Corporate Payments to drive growth for the clients. Maintain a rigorous control environment around pricing decisions, including evaluating accounting implications. Drive implementation, maintenance, and reporting of pricing programs and strategies.
Position requires a Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with business and financial analysis to driving business strategy. Experience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience with financial modeling, scenario analysis, and competitive landscape and market trend analysis to develop cutting-edge pricing strategies; 2 years of experience with translating data-focused analyses into digestible topics and presenting them to non-data-focused leadership; 2 years of experience with change management and operational process management to implement large-scale changes to pricing infrastructure and design; and 2 year of experience with Excel, IBM Cognos, SAP, VBA, Pivot Tables, sensitivity analyses, and in yield management.
