Job Description

American Express Travel Related Services seeks Managers, Business Performance to investigate business performance trends and develop actionable insights backed by data and analytics.  Execute strategic business initiatives by carrying out proactive and reactive analysis.  Deliver strong field performance, business growth, and maintain profitability through partnership with various teams within the enterprise.  Support development of end-to-end change management initiatives to help achieve long-term business goals.  Identify and implement process improvement activities to enhance productivity, increase accuracy, and reduce costs through insightful analytics.  Liaise with other business units to leverage best practices in reporting and metric design to drive business effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with synthesizing, analyzing, and transforming a large amount of complex data.  Experience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience with translating complex analyses for technical and non-technical audiences; 2 years of experience with data analysis and modeling for digital acquisition and marketing; 2 years of experience with analyzing data to prepare forecasting to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities; 2 years of experience with forecasting business growth by analyzing past trends and field performance; and 2 years of experience with Hive, MS Excel, R, SAS, SQL, and Unix.
