Job Description


American Express Travel Related Services seeks Directors, Product Development to collaborate across product and engineering teams to process work through the product life cycle from discovery to development.  Define solutions and capabilities to scale across all digital acquisition products and journeys, and articulate architecture solutions to multiple audiences and levels.  Devise release strategies in order to meet business outcomes and targets.  Perform solution architecture for digital acquisition by leveraging software design concepts.  Improve digital journeys of customers, drive service standardization, and improve solutions.  Elevate the portfolio’s platform in collaboration with solution and enterprise architects.



Minimum Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with software engineering, automation development, and building software products in a complex product development environment.  Experience must include a minimum of: 1 year of experience with translating technical and business objectives into software solutions; 1 year of experience with IT project management; 1 year of experience with automation tools, including Selenium; 1 year of experience with developing strategies for data analysis and reporting using Splunk; 1 year of experience with Agile and SAFe methodologies; and 1 year of experience with algorithms, AngularJS, C#, code review, Clarity, data structures, design pattern, Java, Node.js, object oriented analysis and design, relational databases, SQL Server, SVN, systems requirement analysis, Web Services, XML, and .NET framework.
